G.E.M.S. Girls Club (or GEMS for short) is a ministry for girls in 2nd-8th grade. Awareness G.E.M.S. is for 2nd and 3rd grade girls while G.E.M.S. is for girls in 4th through 8th grade. The meetings are generally the first and third Wednesday of each month from September through April. Meetings are held from 6:45PM –8:45PM.
G.E.M.S. is an acronym for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. Our primary focus is leading girls into a living relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ. Each year there is a new theme and theme verse to help the girls build and strengthen their relationship with Jesus. The theme is shared throughout the year during our group time but also during small group lessons. Girls are able to complete badges throughout the year, both individually and within their small groups, that teach them new skills and how to use these new skills to glorify and praise God.
G.E.M.S. also has special events each year: The Annual Kick-Off, a Community Service Project, GEMS Sunday, either a Mother/Daughter Night or Father/Daughter Night (these are alternated every other year), a Cookie Dough/Popcorn Fundraiser (in October) and 2 fundraiser dinners (Hot Beef in October and Spaghetti Supper in February).
