Dear Friends 8r. Family,

Another year has passed, and by the Grace of God, we have another year full of opportunities to serve Him together with YOU as partners in ministry! The Lord has been incredibly faithful to us for the past four years we have been serving in the Philippines. We are excited to see what He has in store for us this year!

One of the most exciting ministries we have each year is our Eternity Week. This is a week
of Evangelism from early morning until late evening each day. This year, we have 70 people involved from our staff and Bible institute student body! This year we are going to Manila, the largest city in the Philippines. It is a city of 20 million people and only approximately 10% are Christians. That means there are at least 18 million people who don’t know Christ as savior living there. What a mission field! We are going from January 27 thru February 2. Please remember us in your prayers that week!

One of the exciting projects going on this year in Word of Life Philippines is the building of a dormitory for our Bible IInstitute students. The Lord continues to provide through ordinary people to accomplish seemingly impossible things! For the past 27 years, Word of Life Bible Institute has produced godly men and woman serving the Lord all over the
world and here in the Philippines. By the Grace of God, Mike and I are both graduates of this school and can testify as to how God is working in and through this school.

On March 31 thru April 12, there will be a work team coming from Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana to help us build a basketball court. As we have shared before, Filipinos love to play Basketball! This court’s purpose is to help Word of Life reach out into our local community through basketball evangelism. The need for the Gospel is so great right here in our neighborhood and it is our prayer that God will use basketball as a tool to reach the hearts of the people with the Love of Christ. Please pray for the team coming!

Praise God for the opportunity Mike had to share the Gospel to the local police department on January 14. There were 22 police officers from our town who came to camp to
do some target practice with our security guards. Before they started Mike was able to open the Word of God and challenge them about making a decision for Christ!

Special Request

We would like to share with you that on May 20, 2012 we will be returning to the
United States for furlough. This trip is for two purposes. First is to continue the processing for Pretty’s US citizenship. We have legal documents to submit and some requirements to fulfill. Second is to visit and report back to all of our faithful supporters. God has blessed us with wonderful supporters and we would like to share with them the blessings of God from the past two years of ministry here in the Philippines. We will also be reporting back to the churches that have faithfully partnered with us in our ministry.

One of our greatest needs when we go back is a vehicle to use for our family. We cannot
afford to buy one, so we are trusting the Lord to provide a vehicle we can borrow. Please pray with us that God would touch someone’s heart to meet that need in our life.

A second need is a house to stay in for our time in the States. Mike’s parents have graciously allowed us to stay with them in the past. That offer is still open, however with a family of our own, if a place we could call “our own” would open up we would be grateful. The Lord always reminds us not to worry but to trust the Lord and by faith rest in Him for our journey going back to the States.

Please pray for the blessing of the Lord during our time home. We are excited to come
back and minister to those who ministered to us through all of their prayers and support!

Thank you!!
